This design is based around ancient Tibetan thangkas. It features a peaceful deer in the center, a symbol of serenity, calm, harmony and peace in traditional Buddhist art. The deer wears a headdress of antique Tibetan jewelry, and lays upon a cloud of stylized lotus petals, as depicted in thangka designs. Above the deer’s head floats a parasol of peacock feathers, casting a shadow of spiritual protection, and embroidered fabrics drape over its back. Intricately carved, silver-clad conch shell trumpets hover, while lotus and wisteria flowers represent purity and humility. Gentle cranes flank the design, symbolizing longevity and wisdom. The borders feature an interlocking daisy motif, representing purity of the mind. This reversible quilted jacket is made from a heavy silk twill and has an oversized fit and a turned collar. The cuffs can also be turned back to reveal the opposite colorway. The jacket has large front patch pockets positioned perfectly in line with the print, and it fastens at the side with ribbon ties.
