The Oxford Shirt is designed, printed and made in England from sand-washed silk Crepe de Chine, giving a dusky, matte finish. It has a traditional shirt collar and a loose-fitting body, and fastens with delicate Mother of Pearl buttons concealed under a simple front placket. We have added volume in the sleeves, draping to a fitted cuff. The garment is French seamed throughout.
This design is filled with a scene of exotic and explosively vibrant citrus fruits, each contrasting against the soft, grey-blue background. Pink ribbons twirl through the stems, echoing the soft blossom petals. Amongst the fruits, a striking green parrot looms, heralding the arrival of tropical new species to England, an unknown threat to our domestic breeds of the era.
