These Lounge Trousers are designed, printed and made in England from sand-washed silk crepe Marocain. This flattering silk has a thick and buttery feel with a dusky, matte finish. They feature an elasticated, mid-rise waistband and side pockets, and are French seamed throughout. The cut is straight and casual with an ankle-length hem.
This design references many elements of the arts and culture of Edo-period Japan. It features tempestuous Hokusai-inspired waves around the hemline, while strings of koinobori (hand-painted, fish-shaped flags trail chaotically from the waters in the sea breeze. Japanese script, plus hanko stamps bearing the names Sabina Savage and Koinobori Karasu are branded artfully throughout the design.
